About Me
My name is Jessica Freeman, and I am a ProDoula trained Labor, Postpartum and Infant Care Doula. I am married with a blended family; a total of 5 kids and 6 grandkids. I worked for years in the healthcare field as a CNA and Home Health caregiver and am certified in BLS. I also have my business degree and am working toward my Medical Assistant Certificate and my lactation counselor certificate.

For over 20 years I have been helping people I know bring new life into this world as a "labor coach". When I worked in Labor & Delivery as a CNA, I told myself when the time was right, I wanted to become a midwife. As I was researching how to become a Midwife, I realized there was a whole world of birth workers I hadn't even known about, Doulas. So, I researched a little further into becoming a doula, and in 2022 took the certifications needed and started my own business. Now I get to help new parents I wouldn't have otherwise known have a better birth experience. I'm not new to supporting parents navigate the birth process and postpartum, I'm just newly established with a title for doing what I love.

I am excited to meet new clients and grow not only my business, but my personal and professional skills and knowledge. As a doula, we never stop learning. Each birth or postpartum client holds new knowledge, wisdom and experience.

With Gentle Journey Doula, you will receive empathy in your experience, education from your birth plan to breastfeeding, and empowerment for you to make your own decisions throughout the process. I believe you should have the birth experience you want, and I want to help make sure that happens.
